The ax-lightness ULTRA SL 25C full-carbon clincher wheelset is the ultimate benchmark for lightweight design in road cycling.

With the ULTRA SL 25C, ax-lightness takes high-end wheel building to a new level. Based on years of experience in carbon processing, the wheelsets in the ULTRA series have been consistently refined. The focus is on uncompromising lightweight design for pure road use. The in-house ULTRA components incorporate the collective know-how from all ax-lightness manufacturing sectors (cycling, automotive, skiing, etc.). The result is a highly integrated system of lightweight design in which every component is optimized for maximum performance.

The ULTRA SL 25C redefines what a standard carbon wheelset can achieve: Weighing just 840 grams (including tubeless rim tape, ±5%) with a maximum system weight of up to 110 kg, it sets a benchmark that hardly any other manufacturer can match. The flat 25mm profile with a 24mm inner rim width and 30mm outer width ensures lively handling, low inertia, and maximum efficiency on climbs—exactly where every gram counts. Ideal for explosive accelerations, hard sprints, and long climbs.

The in-house ax-lightness ULTRA Disc hubs with ratchet freewheel and ceramic bearings consistently minimize rolling resistance. The UD-Glossy finish without paint, featuring subtle black decals, saves additional weight and gives the wheelset a sleek, clean look.

The weight of the wheelset is just 840 grams including tubeless rim tape (±5%), placing it well below the 1000-gram mark. Combined with a system weight rating of up to 110 kg, the ULTRA SL 25C sets a new standard in standard carbon lightweight design for the road.
