Shimano BL-MT620 Brake Lever - Disc Brake (hydraulic) | I-Spec EV - right (R)

Description

Shimano BL-MT620 Brake Lever - Disc Brake (hydraulic) | I-Spec EV - right (R)

The BL-MT620 brake levers feature optimized braking force transmission and predictable modulation, which remain consistent even on varying terrain and at different temperatures thanks to the use of Shimano’s reformulated, low-viscosity mineral oil. The SERVOWAVE technology not only enables quick response from the brake pads but also allows for smooth and finely controllable braking force modulation. Visually, the brake levers impress with a clean aesthetic and a tidy appearance, featuring a brake hose that runs parallel to the handlebar. While the aluminum brake lever blade promises durability, the I-Spec EV mount allows for easy connection to the shift lever.

Same technology, different finish. In terms of functionality, the BR-MT620 brake levers are on par with the models in the Deore M6200 series, but stand out visually with a solid black appearance.

SERVOWAVE | This brake system manages the friction between the brake pads and the rotor throughout the entire pull phase to achieve an optimized power curve and correspondingly more balanced braking behavior. The SERVOWAVE brake lever covers a long distance at the start of its movement, allowing the brake pads to be brought into contact with the rotor with minimal lever travel. Once the brake pads make contact, the force transmission ratio increases rapidly. The majority of the lever travel is thus still available to increase braking power and modulate it more precisely.

I-Spec EV | Shimano’s integrated I-Spec mounting system for brake and shift levers enables a clean, performance-optimized cockpit layout that helps riders maintain greater concentration and flexibility. The ergonomic design, faster lever access, and smooth operation enhance riding comfort. Thanks to the EV version’s even wider adjustment range, every type of rider can easily find their optimal position, regardless of riding style, preferences, or hand and arm position. On the I-Spec EV brake levers, the clamp that is set further inward creates an additional contact point with the handlebar, further improving the stiffness of the lever unit.
