Authentic road cycling, enhanced with a wider gear range and more accessible than ever before. That is the 2x11-speed drivetrain system of Shimano’s redesigned Tiagra series. The mechanical shifting components are designed with a focus on practicality and user-friendliness. While the ergonomic and comfortable shift levers form the heart of the groupset, the CS-RS400 cassette provides the foundation for a lightweight road configuration that still offers a sufficiently wide transmission ratio to handle mixed terrain as well as steep climbs.

Smooth and effortless gear changes characterize the front derailleur of the Tiagra R4000 series. Thanks to the optimized cage design of the Shimano Toggle Link construction, the Down Swing front derailleur ensures natural as well as harmonious on-demand shifting performance that meets the demands of modern road cycling.

The 2x11-speed front derailleur is available with different clamp diameters (FD-R4000-BS: 31.8 mm / FD-R4000-BL: 34.9 mm) as well as in a braze-on version (FD-R4000-F).

Down Swing | Front derailleurs with the Down Swing design are characterized by their durability and high shifting precision. The cage for chain guidance is located below the front derailleur mount.
