Smooth Operator. Driven By Durability. The mechanical 11-speed rear derailleur of the Deore XT series offers the same durability-focused features as the 12-speed models (RD-M8200). These include the flat wedge shape, the wide-link design and the revised dual-spring construction – all of which are derived from the Shadow ES architecture – as well as a slim stabilizer and solid, well-protected derailleur pulleys. The result is a reliable all-around package that delivers extremely smooth shifting even under load, making it ideal for use on E-MTBs.

Designed for LinkGlide drivetrain systems to further increase durability and ensure smoother chain operation.

Shadow ES | This construction is characterized by a low profile, which reduces the forward-facing surface of the rear derailleur. As a result, the rear derailleur features no protruding edges that could get caught on stones or roots.
