Thudbuster – The Comfort Seatpost

Less Impact. Less Pain. More Riding. Rigid seatposts transmit harsh impacts and vibrations through the saddle into the body. These impacts can irritate the nerves and muscles in the lower back, thereby causing or exacerbating tension and fatigue. The proven design of Thudbuster parallelogram seatpost from Cane Creek provides active damping and support by absorbing these impacts without being bouncy.

Unlike other suspension seatposts which typically use heavy coil springs and thus waste pedaling power, at the Thudbuster, Cane Creek relies on elastomers. These dense rubber blocks are designed to absorb impact energy and rebound in a very smooth and controlled motion. At the same time and throughout the entire suspension cycle, the Parallel Linkage technology keeps the saddle in a horizontal position. Bumps are dampened without altering the relative distance between the saddle and the crank. No unwanted up-and-down bobbing, just natural, smooth and effortless pedaling. The ideal solution for a riding experience that promises maximum comfort. 

Thudbuster ST (Short Travel). The version with a shorter travel of 50 mm features a compact design that is particularly well-suited for riders with a low saddle height or higher weight requirements.
