The GT Bib Shorts S11 are popular with riders for good reason. They’re comfortable, breathable, and can withstand intense use over long distances for several seasons. However, there’s one time of year when they don’t perform as well: winter. Assos has optimized everything you love about these bib shorts for indoor training. As a result, Assos offers the ultimate endurance bib shorts to get you through the cold months as you rack up kilometers on your indoor bicycle with your training app. Although Assos markets them as an indoor model, these shorts are also suitable for particularly hot summer days. However, Assos recommends applying sunscreen under the ultralight inserts on the legs.
The design combines the QUARTZ fabric used in the GT S11 with strategically placed panels of open-weave POLSTAR, which Assos also uses in the TACTICA Liner Shorts. The two fabrics combine long-term reliability and durability in high-stress areas with remarkably lightweight breathability and cooling in the leg panel areas. The straps are lighter and made of perforated mesh to enhance cooling airflow. The GT S11 features a section of breathable, cooling Sundeck fabric integrated into the front—ideal for areas that do not require cushioning but benefit from additional ventilation.
