New Rims: More Aerodynamic & All-Road Ready

The new TYRO features a redesigned rim profile with improved aerodynamics and an internal width of 23 mm. This makes the wheelset even more versatile. While the TYRO has always been a popular choice for gravel bikes, it’s now even better suited for rough terrain thanks to its compatibility with tire widths up to 45 mm.

Especially important: The TYRO retains its hooked rim design. This guarantees maximum compatibility and safety. You can ride with almost any tire brand - whether tubeless or with an inner tube - at the optimal pressure, whether on smooth asphalt or technical gravel.

New N/LITE Hubs

FFWD developed the N/LITE hub specifically for the new TYRO. It shares the DNA of its “big brother,” the N/GAGE hub from the RYOT and DRIFT models. Through an intelligent design of the hub shell, FFWD saves crucial grams without compromising reliability.

Inside, the hub relies on the proven ratchet system. Compared to conventional ratchet systems in this price range, the new 18T system offers faster suspension response and superior durability.

Lighter Wheelset

The optimizations to the rim and hub result in a weight reduction of a full 100 grams on the new TYRO. A massive performance upgrade for ambitious cyclists who are ready to take the next step.
