The Scale’s new design is the result of a pursuit of perfection and pure efficiency, with Scott strictly adhering to the “form follows function” concept. In their quest for the ultimate yet simple construction, they focused the design on the essentials and created an entirely new kind of XC bicycle. The result is a clean, minimalist design that gives the brand-new Scale its unique character and aggressive look - a bicycle that proudly showcases its features.

Thanks to the monocoque construction of the new Scale RC, only a single mold is needed during production for the bicycle’s main section - the front frame triangle. Drawing on Scott’s expertise with carbon, the new Scale consists of just three individual parts that have been joined together. This directly results in increased efficiency due to the reduced number of joints, leading to lower weight while maintaining first-class stiffness - a core characteristic that Scott always strives for in hardtail race bikes. Designed as a system, the frame can better handle the forces acting on it thanks to the monocoque design.
