This adapter allows road bikes, gravel bikes, and other bikes with a standard 9-mm quick-release skewer to be used with the KOM Duschen bike mount, which features a 12 x 100 mm thru-axle mount.

This makes the adapter ideal for bikes with quick-release axles that are to be mounted on a holding system originally designed for the current 12-mm thru-axle standard with an installation width of 100 mm. The precision-fit version ensures a secure hold on the fork and makes the suction cup mount versatile—even with older or classic road bikes and gravel bikes.

Usage

1. Check compatibility—Before use, verify that the bike has a standard 9-mm quick-release mount on the front fork.
2. Position the fork—Align the bike’s fork on the adapter or in the mount. Both dropouts must rest evenly and fully against the mount.
3. Secure the quick-release skewer—Insert the 9-mm quick-release skewer through the mount and close it securely. The clamping force must be firm enough to ensure the fork sits without play, without damaging any components.
4. Remove after use—After use, release the quick-release skewer, remove the bike from the mount, and store the adapter in a clean, dry place.
