High-quality, CNC machined aluminium external bottom bracket cups with double sealed stainless steel bearings. Special bottom bracket cups for cranks with 30 mm hollow axle.
The machined aluminium cups hold full stainless steel cartridge bearings in stainless races. These custom made bearings are double sealed and fully serviceable to offer a much greater life span than stock units. If they wear out eventually, they are replaceable. The bearings are made by INA and have been designed to run directly on the crank spindle, without the use of shims or spacers - again increasing life and reliability. Hope uses a non contact, free running labyrinth seal to protect the bearing externally. The unit is suitable for 68/73/83 and 100 mm bb shell widths. Spacers are included in delivery.
When assembled in 68/73 mm bb shells, the width including seal rings measures 96.5 mm, assembled in 83 mm it will measure 111.5 mm.
Please note specific fitting tool (HTT188) needed to fit bottom bracket. Available separately.
