The Paul Component Neo-Retro is a wide-profile cantilever brake whose design is based on the geometry of the famous Mafac tandem brake. What sets the Neo-Retro apart from its classic heritage are the modern materials and adjustability.

Details of the Paul Component Neo-Retro

The Neo-Retro is characterized by its braking power, high adjustability, low maintenance and classic look. The brake arms are milled from lightweight 6061 aluminum and their T-shaped cross-section prevents the brake from bending too much under load.

The brake pads are attached to slots in the arms that allow vertical positioning. Thanks to the spherical washers on the threaded rods of the brake pads, toe-in and angle can be finely adjusted.

The Neo-Retro has a sealed pivot point mechanism. Thanks to rubber seals and a stainless steel bushing, the brake arms rotate smoothly, regardless of the conditions. The spring tension can be adjusted in both joints to center the brake and adjust the strength of the return stroke. The quick-release mechanism for unhooking one side of the brake arm when removing the wheel is very simple and yet always reliable.

The required cable carrier is not included in the scope of delivery.
