Description of Wheels Manufacturing Threaded BB86/92 Bottom Bracket - Angular Contact - PF41-86/89.5/92-24

The Wheels Manufacturing threaded PF41 bottom bracket comes with two machined aluminum cups which thread together ensuring the bottom bracket remains stable in the frame, increasing bearing life, and simplifying maintenance. This means no more creaking, smoother operation, longer bearing life, and really quick bearing replacement.

The bottom bracket is designed for frames with a BB86/BB92 bottom bracket shell and 24mm cranks spindles. It comes with Angular Contact bearings for less friction and minimized wear.

Customer Reviews
Excellent
Probably best PF bb cranking sound solver. Only down side of it is spec. tool you need to install.
Good
I recently installed on a Wilier 101 frame. So far so good. Be sure to purchase the specific Wheels Manufacturing socket wrench. None of my splined sockets fit, neither of the 2 Shimano standards nor the FSA Mega Exo. I'm only giving 4 stars because the cup flanges are too thin IMO and there is insufficient metal for the socket to grab when torquing down the cups. It's also too easy to scratch the paint on your frame.
Good
The BB on my bike (Giant Defy1 2016) was creaking, even with Shimano Ultegra BB86. Tried this "Thread fit" type BB, and I'm happy so far - no more creaking for now! A little expensive, but I recommend this product if you are suffering from creaking press-fit BB.
