Rohloff plug pinion adapter for plug pinions on Speedhub 500/14 gear hubs. The plug pinion adapter is mandatory needed for use of the new plug pinions on Speedhub gear hubs. A suitable sprocket tool (separately available) is necessary for mounting the Splined Carrier. The plug pinion adapter
comes inclusive with a lock ring.
A special, 'Slim' splined sprocket carrier is available for applications where use of the wider chainline is not possible (e.g. custom chain cases, chains running within the frame tubing, chainstay collisions due to strengthening gussets etc.). This slim carrier is called 'Splined Carrier S' (Art.No. 8540S) and creates a 55mm chainline.
The Splined Carrier S cannot be used in conjunction with 13 or 14 tooth splined sprockets. The small diameter of these sprockets when combined with the narrow chainline will permit the chain to rub on the SPEEDHUB shell. Only 15-19+21 tooth sprockets are authorized for use with this slim carrier.
