Despite 30 mm rim width, the welded Mavic XM 1030 rim is extra light - thanks to ISM 4D weight tuning (Inter Spoke Milling), in which material is selectively removed where it is not needed, without weakening the highly stressed spoke holes. This form of weight saving allows faster acceleration without compromising durability. Optimized to the maximum that the material allows, the XM 1030 is possibly even the best trail rim in the world.

ISM4D (Inter Spoke Milling 4D).

ISM 4D not only noticeably reduces weight and inertia without sacrificing durability. The exclusive Mavic patent also provides with its novel rim profile for better aerodynamics. Other benefits: up to 50 g lighter for even faster climbing performance, minimal inertia for maximum acceleration, extra aerodynamic rim profile for lower drag.

UST (Universal Standard for Tubeless).

More traction and control. UST technology improves traction, control and ride comfort while reducing inertia and puncture risk. Allows riding with extremely low tire pressure. UST rim bed with special humps fixes tire beads extra securely. Compatible with all types of tires (UST, Tubeless Ready, clincher with tube).

SUP (Soudé Usiné Process).

Welded and subsequently machined rim joint - extremely stable, eliminates brake judder and facilitates the construction of high-quality wheels.
