After the mountain bike flagship XTR has already set benchmarks and Deore XT and SLX have followed suit, the Deore M6100 now rounds off Shimano's 12-speed lineup. It is complemented by the components of the M5100 and M4100 series which will equip 11- and 10-speed drivetrains at the same high level.

Regarding the price, the current Shimano Deore groups are positioned in the entry-level range, but are not prepared to compromise in terms of performance, quality and reliability. Almost everything that the high end groups XTR, XT and SLX have to offer in terms of technology, innovation, performance and range of functions, you will find in the Deore components, too.

The Shimano Deore SL-M6100 shift lever is characterized by its simple and smooth-running operation so that the driver can concentrate solely on the trail ahead. Proven features such as Rapidfire Plus and 2-Way-Release have of course been adopted by the SL-M6100 shifting levers from their predecessors.

2-Way-Release allows cable release by pressing with the thumb or pulling with the index finger. So you don't have to adapt your riding style to the rear derailleur, but the rear derailleur adapts to your riding style.
