Details of the Fizik Vento Infinito Knit Carbon 2 road cycling shoes

The latest version of the Infinito Knit continues to offer all the advanced features proven by professional racers, but features a refined knit construction that allows excellent ventilation throughout the upper and is even slimmer than ever before by reducing the weight. An incredibly breathable knitted mesh base combines with targeted areas of heat-welded TPU yarn to support the foot where the athlete needs it most. This guarantees effective power transfer to the pedals with the same support and pedaling efficiency as a conventional cycling shoe. The volume control system enables a differentiated fit adjustment in the instep and forefoot area, the shape and volume of which can vary greatly from rider to rider. Equipped with the Li2 BOA® Fit system platform with a smaller toothing and a lower, more aerodynamic profile, cyclists can adjust the fit to their individual foot shape, ensuring maximum performance without compromising comfort.

A special part of the upper material encloses the instep and can be precisely adjusted with the Li2 BOA® platform to ensure a perfect fit and improved support of the plantar fascia. The volume of the forefoot area can be controlled with the Infinito, a special adjustment system. The Infinito compensates for tension and eliminates further pressure points through the use of the BOA® thread guide. This system works over a larger area of the top of the shoe, pulling the eyelets inwards evenly from all directions to ensure a supportive and comfortable fit.

This Infinito features an outsole with a special carbon fiber composite that saves weight and increases stiffness. With a stiffness index of 10, this sole is the stiffest that Fizik currently offers. A wide ventilation slot and deep internal channels provide a cooling airflow that regulates the temperature. The cleat positioning is offset slightly further back compared to conventional settings to optimize pedaling efficiency and reduce stress on the knees, which is especially beneficial for very aggressive, forward-facing aero positions.
