The extremely robust thru axles from Burgtec have a 6 mm hex socket at both ends, which allows the use of a torque wrench to ensure a secure fit of the wheel. And should it ever jam, this "Get out of Jail" feature furthermore offers a second chance to release the axle from the fork.

Compared to a quick release solution, the leverless design of these lightweight and stiff 7075 aluminum thru axles not only saves weight, but also provides security and clearance should things get tighter on the trail. Available in a variety of colors.
