The 30mm rim, the heart of the SAFEWING 30 wheelset, does a lot differently to conventional rims. The innovative Safe-Wing profile allows the tire to be perfectly supported, resulting in smooth rolling over the rim flank. An advantage that can be experienced directly with low air pressures and wide tire cross-sections. The tilting of the tire is minimized to such an extent that the air pressure can be lowered by an average of 0.2 bar without risking smearing or tilting of the carcass. This significantly increases grip, driving safety and comfort.

Another special feature of this rim design is its puncture resistance. As a rule, the rim flanges are designed as an upright carbon fiber laminate, which makes them more susceptible to delamination. The Safe-Wing profile, on the other hand, has a completely circumferential laminate, so the material on the rim flange is closed and protected. The carbon rim revolution for your mountain bike.
