Whether you're skiing or out for a brisk walk, the balaclava offers optimum protection in cold weather. It is made from a blend of merino wool and synthetic fibers, making it antibacterial and quick-drying. The flat seams prevent chafing and make it easier to wear under a helmet. As it has an opening, it can be shaped to completely cover the head except for the eyes. The lower part of the opening can be worn over the nose or chin, depending on weather conditions and personal preference.

Merino wool comes from merino sheep and is generally known for its high quality. Merino sheep have much more hair than other sheep. They grow about ten times as much hair per square meter as the average sheep. The wool is therefore thinner and longer, feels very soft and does not scratch. Merino sheep live in areas with large temperature fluctuations from -20 ºC to over 35 ºC. Their fur has a thermo-regulating effect. This means that merino wool keeps you warm in the cold, but breathes well. Merino wool also has an excellent moisture-regulating and self-cleaning effect, so you won't suffer from sweat stains and odors on your clothes as quickly.
