High quality CNC machined Ahead headset with sealed bearings. Sealing is achieved through an adjustable taper ring cover and integrated rubber seal. The bearings also incorporate their own sealing, and being made from stainless steel resist corrosion. The cups, taper ring and crown race (which is split for easy installation and removal) are all machined aluminium. The Hope headset can be used for all kinds of biking, it is robust enough for downhill and light enough for cross country or road bike. Headset comes complete with the Head Doctor Ahead cap and expander set.
The Hope Conventional is a traditional 1 1/8" Ahead headset with external cups. The S.H.I.S. denotation (Standardized Headset Identification System) is EC34/28,6 | EC34/30.
