It is precisely for these days that racers and cross-country bikers can now rely on the new NEWMEN Phase 30 VONOA . Thanks to the combination of Phase Light carbon rim and VONOA carbon spokes, the XC wheels land at a sensational 1160 grams (wheelset 29″).

Easy to service, 40 percent lighter and 30 percent stiffer: With the newly developed VONOA carbon spokes, NEWMEN brings a real game changer to mountain bikes. The new MTB carbon wheels deliver weight savings without compromise. At just 1150 grams, they accelerate more explosively than any other MTB wheel, offer perfect support for wide MTB tires thanks to the 30 mm rim and are robust enough for the toughest XC courses.

The stiff VONOA carbon spokes weigh just 2.8 grams each. The aero version of the VONOA spokes has already been convincing in NEWMEN road bike sets for over two years and has proven its worth with the WorldTour team Intermarché-Wanty. For the tough MTB requirements, NEWMEN uses round VONOA spokes in the classic straight-pull design for the new Phase 30 VONOA. As the carbon spokes are significantly more tear-resistant and stiffer than conventional steel spokes, 24 spokes per wheel are sufficient for a perfect balance of stiffness and comfort. The hub body has also been further optimized for the Phase 30 VONOA and the weight reduced. Inside the FADE CS hub, however, is the same proven technology that has characterized the NEWMEN FADE MTB hubs for years: Low weight, convincing durability and quiet freewheel noise.

In the event of a service or defect, handling is exactly the same as with classic steel spokes. The VONOA carbon spokes can also be centered or replaced individually in the event of a broken spoke.
