With its flat shape, the BT-EN805 battery from Shimano is not only ideal for mounting in the down tube, it also allows manufacturers to design slimmer frames. In addition, the compact construction of the lithium-ion battery lowers the center of gravity, which in turn ensures a more natural riding experience.

Thanks to the 2nd generation STePS battery management system, the use of high-quality cells and the capacity of 504 Wh, riders benefit from an increased range and shorter charging times. Even after more than 1,000 charging cycles, the long-lasting battery still offers 60 % of its original capacity. The extremely resilient construction is highly water-repellent (IPX5), which is not only ideal for use in all weather conditions, but also allows cleaning with low water pressure.
