The SUPERNOVA M99 DY PRO is the world's first dynamo-powered LED headlight with high beam function and German road approval. Thanks to new innovative control electronics, the new SUPERNOVA M99 DY PRO with its matrix of 9 POWER LEDs achieves light values of up to 1000 lumens and 200 lux. Such values could previously only be achieved by high-performance headlights for e-bikes. This increase in light output strengthens the most environmentally friendly of all types of bike - the classic "bio-bike" - and ensures equal safety on the road. Once fitted, the headlight is completely maintenance-free and illuminates the road ahead for years with an illumination level that is always optimally adapted to the speed.

At night, you can activate the powerful high beam function from a speed of 20 km/h (depending on the wheel diameter), which is signaled by an indicator LED in the high beam button. With up to over 1000 lumens, even fast descents become a wonderful experience. With its 200 lux illuminance, the headlight then warns of obstacles at a good distance. The high beam function illuminates bends much better than a low beam, even when the bike is tilted sharply.

The elegant, pre-forged and then high-precision milled aluminum housing provides perfect protection and cooling for the electronics and light sources. Supernova has so much experience with the durability of the housing that an unlimited 10-year guarantee is given on the metal parts under all conditions of use. The tempered front glass is impact resistant and optically highly efficient, the UV-resistant, PVC-free cables withstand large temperature fluctuations, extreme cold and heat.

Note:

Supernova's dynamo headlights supply 6V direct current to the rear light. Many rear lights from other manufacturers require alternating current to function correctly. We can therefore not guarantee the correct function of rear lights from other manufacturers. If in doubt, please check the connection requirements of your rear light.

In principle, the M99 DY Pro is suitable for operation with any commercially available 6V/3W hub dynamo. The SONdelux from the manufacturer Schmidts Original hub dynamo is an exception. Due to the flatter voltage curve of this model, the M99 DY Pro does not reach its full output and the high beam is only available at a significantly higher speed. The SON28 is more suitable.
