Compatibility notes:

1. The saddle clamp should match the diameter of the seat tube on the frame, not the diameter of the seatpost itself. If the diameter of the seatpost is 31.6 mm, a 36.4 mm clamp may be required.
2. The wall thickness of seat tubes can vary depending on the frame manufacturer and the material and paint finish. This means that the outer diameter of the seat tube may be different, but the inner diameter of the seat tube is the same.
3. Alugear saddle clamps are designed to fit frames that deviate within +/- 0.5 mm from the specified clamp size. For example, a 31.8 mm clamp will fit frames with a seat tube diameter of 31.3 to 32.3 mm.
4. The 28.6 mm seat clamp is mainly suitable for steel frames, the clamps with an outer seat tube diameter of 31.8 mm, 34.9 mm and 36.4 mm primarly for carbon, aluminum and titanium frames. The 38.6 mm seatpost clamp fits most Specialized frames for All Mountain, Enduro and Downhill (with shock).
5. The mechanism of the Alugear saddle clamps is extremely stable and allows tightening with a force of more than 6 Nm without damaging the clamp itself. However, especially the manufacturer's recommendations for the frame and seatpost must be observed. Tightening the clamp too tightly can cause damage to these.
