The XLC System Pedal PD-S20 is an attractive and functional addition to any mountain bike, featuring a strong aluminium body and a tough steel axle.

The SPD adaptor means the pedals are suitable for use with the majority of bike shoes and the 9/16” thread means they are compatible with most adult-sized bikes.

The system pedals are designed to maximise the energy transfer between foot and pedal, meaning they will help you have a more efficient ride.

The PD-S20 pedals use cartridge bearings, which you’ll rarely have to service, giving you much more time to focus on your ride.

SPD system compatible

The XLC system pedal with this icon includes an adapter compatible with the Shimano SPD system and can be used with most bicycle racing shoes on the market. System pedals support the round pedal stroke and optimize the transmission energy.

One-sided system

Single-sided system pedals are equipped with an adapter system on one side only and can only be ridden with suitable cycling shoes. Some hybrid pedals are specified with an adapter system on one side and a conventional pedal cage on the other. These can be ridden with both special bike shoes and conventional sports shoes.

Cartridge bearings

Cartridge bearings are the most commonly used bearing types for bicycles today. The manufacturer inserts, adjusts and presses all the necessary bearings into a so-called cartridge. This protects the bearings well from dust and dirt and the bearings no longer need to be adjusted during assembly. They are therefore completely maintenance-free.
