Drink Mix 160 sets new standards in endurance sports. It was specially developed to provide athletes with liquid energy during high-intensity training sessions or competitions: dissolved in 500 ml of water, the mix provides 40 grams of carbohydrates. For many athletes, the intake of carbohydrates during an intensive training session can be hard on the stomach. That is why we have developed our hydrogel technology. This innovation encloses the carbohydrates and transports them safely through the stomach so that they can be better absorbed by the body - for top performance right to the end.

For a good stomach feeling

When Drink Mix comes into contact with stomach acid, a hydrogel is formed which encloses the carbohydrates and thus ensures a good feeling in the stomach even during strenuous sessions.

New ingredient

Drink Mix now contains a small amount of sodium bicarbonate. Many sports drinks are acidic and attack tooth enamel. The sodium bicarbonate in Drink Mix helps to maintain a neutral pH (i.e. not below pH 6).

Possible uses of MAURTEN Drink Mix 160

• Before training/competition: Maurten can be used as a source of carbohydrates before competitions. A simple option is to drink two Drink Mix 160 the day before the competition.
• During training/competition: The amount of carbohydrates required depends on various factors. One of them is the duration of the exercise. For a running or cycling duration of 60 minutes or less, the recommended intake is up to 40 grams of carbohydrates at the beginning of the physical effort. A Mix Drink 160 is therefore sufficient for short training sessions.
• After training/competition: After training, the body needs carbohydrates for effective recovery. One Dink Mix 160 can be taken within 30 minutes after the end of the training session.
• Maurten's recommended use: Mix the contents of each sachet with 500 ml of water and shake well until dissolved. Make sure the ratio is correct for the hydrogel technology to work. The mixture is designed for water with a calcium content of less than 80 mg/L. Higher values may impair dissolution.
