It may not look like it, but the NeoLoft is a true backpacking sleeping pad. The NeoLoft comes together to deliver sublime comfort while being incredibly lightweight and packable. The 3D construction increases the thickness of the sleeping pad to 4.6 inches (11.7 cm), making the NeoLoft a side sleeper's dream. Vertical sidewalls connect the top and bottom materials and eliminate the tapered edges of non-3D pillows. This increases the sleeping surface by 20% and provides excellent stability. The outside of the NeoLoft is made from a plush stretch knit fabric (the NeoLoft is the first air mattress ever to be made from stretch knit). Stretch Knit is a base layer-like fabric with multi-directional elasticity and feels much softer than the nylons normally used to make backpacking pads. Its stretch properties enhance the contour support of the NeoLoft and help minimize pressure points by conforming to the body shape. On the inside is the ContourCore Matrix™ - the heart of NeoLoft's specifications for the backcountry. It insulates efficiently by minimizing convective heat loss through two stacked rows of triangular chambers, while ThermaCapture™ reflects body heat back to deliver a year-round R-value of 4.7. On the sides, we have incorporated large chambers that rise up to form side rails when the sleeping pad is inflated. These give your body a feel for the edge of the sleeping pad and cradle you towards the center to prevent rolling.

The NeoLoft air mattress has been equipped with the TwinLock™ valve system for high-volume cushions. The two-valve system inflates the NeoLoft quickly with a special one-way airflow inlet valve and deflates quickly with a special exhaust valve. Combined with a high-volume, seam-sealed pump bag, the NeoLoft inflates and deflates quickly and efficiently.
