Shimano Disc Brake Pads - Metal | Ice-Tech - P04C-MF

Shimano disc brake pads with a metal surface and a carrier plate made of light metal composite material (stainless steel + aluminum). Equipped with Ice-Tech cooling fins for heat reduction. Pad shape: P-Type (narrow).

Recommended for hydraulic 4-piston brake calipers of the XTR, Deore XT, SLX and CUES series.

Ice Technologies | To counteract fading and keep the braking performance consistently high during prolonged continuous operation, Shimano has developed the Ice-Tech cooling technology for brake discs and pads. Thanks to their sandwich structure with two stainless steel layers around an aluminum core, rotors with Ice Technologies reduce the surface temperature and dissipate heat accordingly better.

General informations: Resin brake pads are quieter than metal pads, but offer slightly lower performance and have higher wear. Metal pads have a longer service life than pads made of synthetic resin, are more fade-resistant and offer consistent deceleration in dry and wet conditions. Metal brake pads may generate noise during braking.
