Details of the Restrap Downtube down tube bag

The Restrap downtube bag is designed to increase carrying capacity by utilizing the otherwise unused space under the downtube. Particularly useful for smaller frames or anyone who needs extra storage space. The bag is made from a fully waterproof material and features a roll-top closure to keep out the weather, spray or dirt from the road or trail. A single integrated Velcro strap wraps around the down tube bag and the down tube, securing it firmly and minimizing rattling noises. A sewn-in grip pad prevents the bag from slipping. Thanks to the screwless attachment, the down tube bag can be changed from bike to bike in seconds.

Although you can store whatever you want in the down tube bag, Restrap recommends that it is best suited for spare parts, tools and heavier items. Storing these items in a low and central position maintains the natural balance of the bike. This is also useful if you use a dropper post on your bike and can't store items under the saddle, or if your bikepacking gear doesn't allow you to attach a tool bag in the usual place. The down tube bag is designed to fit all bikes, from the narrowest steel frames to down tubes with a circumference of up to 19 cm. And although it is clear what it was designed for, the bag can also be creatively attached to other places such as luggage racks or seat posts. Handmade in the Yorkshire workshop, all bags feature the classic Restrap label, which is made from vegan-friendly PU.
