The Trail Addict Flow is made for flat to undulating and non-technical trails, forest floors, dirt roads, easily accessible hiking trails, and excursions on gravel. It is perfectly equipped for this with its Vibram® MegaGrip outsole, which effectively cleans itself even in bad weather and offers high safety reserves even in wet conditions. Protection is also provided by the newly developed Monomesh with excellent breathability and resistance to thorn bushes and gravel surfaces. The new fit of the Trail Addict Flow is slightly narrower than previous models and laces up even more comfortably – without compromising toe freedom.
Toe freedom is the benchmark by which Joe Nimble measure themselves: expect nothing less than the best toe box on the market, offering (almost) unlimited freedom for your toes, especially your big toe. They support Joe Nimble's Toefreedom® philosophy with the ToePilot® system in the midsole for more explosiveness and push-off energy, better relief for the calf muscles and Achilles tendon. And by the way: a whopping 13% longer flight phase is one of the reasons why you'll enjoy running in the Trail Addict Flow so much. Joe Nimble complement the low 4 mm drop with an even more comfortable and replaceable insole that further increases running comfort on hard surfaces.
They already hit the mark with the reactive eTPU cushioning construction in the Pro-R. Well cushioned yet not too soft on soft surfaces, with a clearly noticeable rebound from around 8,800 eTPU beads that push you forward like little trampolines. The fine tuning of this system allows you to “read” the ground while still providing real comfort even over long distances.
The unique geometry and technical construction of this splint allows the big toe strand in the foot to be more heavily loaded with each step, allowing it to rebuild its natural strength potential for the all-important propulsive phase.
The big toe plays a particularly crucial role for runners, as it provides about 85% of stability during running. Conventional running shoe design permanently deforms the toe structure. The toefreedom® philosophy solves this problem from the first step.

Over 20,000 eTPU beads per sole create lightweight, elastic padding for highly reactive cushioning and over 74% higher energy return compared to standard foams.
Vibram® outsole
In collaboration with Vibram, Joe Nimble have developed a running sole based on the durable Megagrip compound that offers a high degree of slip resistance, stability, and comfort with low abrasion and weight.

In a pilot study at the Progressive Sports Technology Institute in Loughborough, all participants showed a 13% longer flight time at the same running speed and ground contact time. Based on average marathon runner step count and length, a runner needs about 1,000 fewer steps.
