Light, stiff and durable. The Lucky Jack SLS5 rim is the flagship of the XC carbon rim series from DUKE Racing Wheels. The special feature: the 6TERS concept with its different profiles for the front and rear wheel ensures greater efficiency on the trails. Accordingly, these rims are also used by many riders at XCO World Cup.

The Lucky Jack SLS5 is now 10 % lighter than the previous generation and also offers 15 % more vertical compliance. Ultralight yet robust, it offers an even more dynamic ride and unparalleled comfort on the most demanding trails. Available in two inner widths and three weight options, it is appreciated by top World Cup athletes such as Loana Lecomte, Kate Courtney, Jordan Sarrou, Titouan Carod and David Valero.

SLS5 (Super Light Series 5)

The SLS5 process (Super Light Series 5) combines optimized carbon fibre layups with an exclusive aerospace-grade resin. 10% lighter than the SLS4 equivalent. 15% more vertical compliance for better dynamic response. Increased resistance to lateral loads and vertical impacts. Improved vibration damping for more comfort and control.

6TERS ("sisters")

To meet the different demands placed on the front and rear of a mountain bike, the 6TERS concept uses a differentiated design for the front and rear wheels. While the rim intended for the front wheel should be correspondingly wider, a reduced cross-section is used for the rear wheel. While grip, low weight, stiffness and maneuverability are the most important factors at the front, comfort, durability and high-performance power transmission are the decisive parameters at the rear.

Asymmetric Profile (Offset)

Thanks to the offset, the lateral stiffness and stability of the wheel can be increased without additional weight. The rim holes are positioned off-centre to optimize the stiffening angles and make the wheel stronger and stiffer. In addition, an offset improves the balance between spoke tension on the drive side and the opposite side as well as durability in the long term.

Antiburp System

The "Burp-Free" system keeps the tire bead securely in position regardless of the tire pressure and ground conditions. This prevents the tire from coming off the rim even at maximum speed. As the tire is prevented from being pushed in sideways towards the center of the rim, there is no risk of sudden air loss even when cornering.

Anti-Pinch

The sidewalls of the rim are reinforced to prevent the tire from being cut in the event of impacts.

VFP (Varnisch Free Process)

A paint-free surface treatment. Reduces VOC emissions and carbon dust during production. More scratch-resistant, naturally shiny surface.

Tubeless

Tubeless compatible rim design. Compatible with UST and Tubeless Ready standards. Also compatible with clincher/tubular tires.

Hookless Design

Hookless rim design. Lighter than conventional rims with hooks. Increases the air volume in the tire and thus improves comfort and grip at lower tire pressure. Proven DUKE technology since 2011.

* Hookless rims are specially designed for use with tubeless tires. It is also possible to ride a tubeless-specific tire with a tube. However, the use of classic clincher or folding tires is not recommended.
