Loam Carbon – Get Comfortable Out Of Your Comfort Zone

PNW Components has taken its time with its first carbon handlebar to deliver a result that not only changes the riding experience on the Trail, but also improves it. With the Loam, getting out of your comfort zone has never been so comfortable!

The use of premium carbon fibers, combined with the proprietary CBD layup, has enabled the construction of a comfortable handlebar that focuses on dampening vibrations while providing a predictable ride. This is complemented by a special "anti-fatigue" geometry, which is easy on the wrists. Whether in sharp bends or other tricky situations, the Loam carbon handlebar always guarantees reliable handling. Not only is it light and maneuverable, but according to the EFBE Tri-Test® procedure (category 5 for Gravity Bikes) it is also so robust that it can be used for Downhill and E-Bike use.

The Loam Carbon handlebar comes in a subtle "Cement Grey" color, but can be customized with the help of the Loam Transfer decal kit (not included), which is available in many versions.

High-quality prepreg carbon. For the Loam handlebar, PNW Components uses unidirectional carbon fibers which are pre-impregnated with a polymer resin before the layup process. Prepreg carbon is used in the manufacturing of high-performance components for racing cars, for example, and is known for its high strength, stiffness and durability. In order to select the best possible material, PNW has teamed up with a leading carbon manufacturer that ensures high quality standards through its demand-based production.

Patent pending CBD layup. The "Compliant Bore Design" developed by PNW Components offers the ideal balance of vertical compliance with shock damping and horizontal stiffness for a predictable ride feel. The unique shape is based on extensive testing and FEM analysis and is characterized by both a consistent internal texture and a special wall thickness. The use of EPS molded parts results in a smooth and lightweight construction which makes the CBD layup so special.

Wrist-friendly geometry. The Upsweep of 5 degrees in combination with the Backsweep of 10 degrees enables a design that is characteristic of PNW components and prevents signs of fatigue.
