This climber in the Cosmic family takes over the venerable Ksyrium Pro Carbon SL Disc. It features a re-engineered carbon rim that’s the lightest in its category. Its 32mm airfoil shape slices through wind, and because the rim is made specifically for disc brakes, you’ll have more confidence and control on the descents. These wheels are designed, engineered and patented by Mavic in Annecy, France, and are 100% handmade in their European carbon factory.

Mavic Ceramic: High-quality bearing materials, top-notch performance

Thanks to their special properties, ceramic bearings let ball bearings spin a bit faster and last longer. Along with high-quality ceramic material, we use high-quality low-density grease combined with super smooth seals.

Adaptive Layup: Strong where it counts, light everywhere else

Carbon is lighter than alloy, but weight always adds up. By using the right amount of fiber in areas where the rim is less stressed, rim weight can be reduced without compromising reliability. This makes the wheels more agile and enjoyable when riding uphill. Up to 70g can be saved per rim.

FORE: Stiffer, high-precision, and durable rim/spoke connection with practical tubeless advantages

The lower rim flange is threaded to accommodate the spokes directly at the correct angle. This creates a stiff connection, the spokes do not move (fewer spoke breaks), and the upper rim flange remains undrilled, making it 100% airtight for easy tubeless mounting.
