Designed as a versatile combination model, the PD-EH510 from Shimano combines the efficiency of the proven SPD clipless pedal system with the safety and freedom of a flat pedal. It was developed for riders who value adaptability in terms of riding style and off-road capability.

Compared to the PD-EH500 model, the PD-EH510 pedals shift the focus of use from commuting and touring on paved roads to trekking on varied terrain and bikepacking. This is accompanied not only by an increase in contact area of approximately 25 %, but also by the use of longer pins that offer more grip on bumpy off-road trails. While the impact-resistant pedal body with its textured surface protects against stone chips and abrasion in real-world riding conditions, the narrow profile improves ground clearance on technical terrain, tight corners and over obstacles. Durable performance is ensured by the hybrid bushing bearing construction, which guarantees smooth pedal rotation without compromising stability.
