This super-lightweight XC carbon bicycle was developed to help Giant pro Alan Hatherly win the 2025 Elite Men’s XCO World Championship. It features a semi-integrated 120mm FlexPoint Pro rear suspension system and an Flip-Chip for adjusting the geometry to any race course or XC terrain.

• The complex-shaped carbon fiber rocker is manufactured using a high-pressure molding process, making it lighter, stiffer, and stronger than an aluminum version.
• A two-position flip chip lets you adjust the frame geometry and fine-tune the handling to match your riding style and the terrain.
  • The high position provides steeper head and seat angles as well as a higher bottom bracket, resulting in precise, aggressive handling on tight, technical terrain.
  • The low position reduces the handlebar and seat tube angles and lowers the bottom bracket, allowing for slightly more relaxed handling and greater control on fast descents
• The new frame design has room for a second water bottle. 
• Overdrive - Extra-large headset (1 1/2" bottom and 1 1/8" top) and a tapered steerer, which together ensure optimal steering stiffness.
• Megadrive - A massive down tube and an oversized top tube provide excellent lateral and torsional stiffness at the front. The precisely engineered, angular down tube delivers incredible steering precision and pedaling efficiency.
• Powercore - The oversized bottom bracket area features a fully integrated design with a width of 92 mm. Asymmetrical chain stays provide greater stiffness on the drive side and more stability on the non-drive side.
• With the hookless rims, featuring an internal width of 30 mm and sturdy 5 mm-thick side walls with rounded edges, you can ride at lower tire pressures, giving you more control and reducing the risk of rim damage and flats.

Complete control – The new FlexPoint Pro suspension delivers 120 mm of smooth, active rear travel, paired with a 120-mm fork – so you can master challenging descents and power through technical climbs. With a flip chip, you can fine-tune the handling for all types of XC terrain. The super-light Giant WheelSystem, made of carbon or aluminum (depending on the model), features a state-of-the-art 120-tooth ratchet drive system for instant power transfer and robust 5-mm rim walls for better protection against impacts and flats.

Low-Latency Speed Concept - The completely redesigned carbon frame is 89 grams lighter than its predecessor and offers a 7.95 percent improvement in stiffness-to-weight ratio (efficiency), giving you more power on climbs where every watt counts. The wheel systems and integrated handlebar/stem units are designed for maximum efficiency and immediate response to rider input. The rear shock has been repositioned and partially integrated into the top tube, saving weight and creating space for a second bottle cage.

System Integration - A new integrated handlebar/stem unit provides greater flexibility to reduce shocks and vibrations, improving control and comfort for the hands. It is available in two models: Contact SLR XC Integrated Carbon and Contact SL XC Integrated Aluminum. Both feature the same seamless cable routing and are available in various sizes with a standard width of 780 mm and stem lengths ranging from 50 to 90 mm.
