This super-light XC carbon bicycle was developed to help Giant pro Alan Hatherly win the 2025 Elite Men's XCO World Championship. It features a semi-integrated 120 mm FlexPoint Pro rear suspension system and a flip chip to adjust the geometry to any race course or XC terrain.

• The new frame design has space for a second water bottle. 
• Overdrive - extra-large headset bearing (1 1/2" bottom and 1 1/8" top) and a tapered steerer, which together provide optimal steering stiffness.
• Megadrive - A massive down tube and oversized top tube provide super lateral and torsional stiffness at the front. The precisely engineered, angular down tube delivers incredible steering precision and pedaling power.
• Powercore - The oversized bottom bracket area has a fully integrated design with a width of 92 mm. Asymmetrical chain stays provide more stiffness on the drive side and more stability on the non-drive side.
• With hookless rims with an inner width of 30 mm and robust 5 mm thick side walls with rounded edges, you can ride with lower tire pressure, giving you more control and reducing the risk of rim damage and flat tires.

Complete control - The new FlexPoint Pro suspension offers 120 mm of smooth, active rear travel paired with a 120 mm fork, allowing you to tackle difficult descents and power through technical climbs. The super-light Giant WheelSystems in carbon or aluminum (depending on the model) feature a state-of-the-art 120-tooth ratchet drive system for instant power transfer and robust 5 mm rim walls for better protection against impacts and punctures.

Low-Latency Speed Concept - The completely redesigned carbon frame is 89 grams lighter than its predecessor and has a 7.95 percent better stiffness-to-weight ratio (efficiency) so you have more power uphill and every watt counts. The WheelSystems and integrated handlebar/stem units are designed for maximum efficiency and instant response to rider input. The rear shock has been repositioned and semi-integrated into the top tube, saving weight and creating space for a second bottle cage.

System integration - A new integrated handlebar/stem unit provides greater flexibility to reduce shock and vibration, improving control and comfort for the hands. It is available in two models: Contact SLR XC Integrated Carbon and Contact SL XC Integrated Alu. Both have the same seamless cable routing and are available in different sizes with a standard width of 780 mm and stem lengths from 50 to 90 mm.
