All tube shapes were developed using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling and wind tunnel testing. From the truncated elliptical shape of the frame tubes to the new cockpit design and integration of components, the result is a more streamlined profile that improves overall aerodynamic performance compared to the previous generation.

• PowerCore - The PowerCore bottom bracket shell is another point that contributes to Giant's high frame stiffness. The wide seat of the bottom bracket shells and the good connection around the MegaDrive down tube increase frame stiffness.
