HMX carbon

SCOTT has significantly advanced the already high-quality HMF carbon fiber used in the bicycle industry. HMX is the fiber used by SCOTT and is over 20% more stiff than an HMF fiber in the same weight class. This unique material allows SCOTT engineers to develop super-lightweight bikes with excellent riding characteristics.

Light weight and stiffness

Through clever layering and reinforcement in specific areas, Scott has achieved increased stiffness at the bottom bracket and headset without compromising the seat stays. In addition, a complete hollow tube construction, a minimum of connection points, and the absence of alloy components at the dropouts and brake mounts contribute to the remarkably low weight of the frame.

Optimized geometry

The geometry of the Addict RC has been completely redesigned to meet the current requirements of a modern high-performance road bike. Wider tires now fit easily without compromising agility.
