• Voice messages: Use the device's built-in speaker and microphone (or your compatible smartphone paired with the Garmin Messenger™ app) to send a 30-second voice message - all without cellular reception. You can also read transcribed voice messages on the color display.
• Text messages: Use the keyboard on the touch display to compose lengthy text messages directly on the device. Each message can be up to 1,600 characters in length. Alternatively, connect your compatible smartphone to the Garmin Messenger app and exchange text messages, send emojis and reactions or start a group chat.
• Share photos: Share photos of your adventures when you pair the device with your compatible smartphone via the Garmin Messenger app. You can view the photos you receive directly on the device's color display.
• SOS emergency call: Always feel safe on the move - trigger an interactive SOS emergency call including position data in an emergency. Direct communication and an emergency button connect you to Garmin Response - the international, round-the-clock emergency coordination center. Outside of mobile phone coverage, the global Iridium satellite network always ensures the best connection.
• Share via LiveTrack™: With an active inReach satellite subscription, friends and family can easily track your progress while you're on the move. You don't have to point your device directly at the sky to track satellites. In addition to your location, your loved ones can also track data such as distance, time and altitude.
• Stay on track: The Garmin Explore smartphone app makes your experience even better. Plan your route and follow the route to your destination - and back again.
• Voice control: Use voice commands for various tasks, such as sending check-ins, starting tracking and much more.
• Check-in messages: Send simple check-in messages that don't count against your text message quota.
