INMOLD TEC

In Inmold helmets, the inner shell is foamed under high pressure and intense heat under the outer shell.

Hi-EPS

The inner shell of all Inmold helmets is made of Hi-EPS. Thanks to many microscopic air chambers, the forces exerted during an impact are absorbed.

CERAMIC SHELL

The name for the outer shell of all Alpina helmets manufactured using the Inmold process. This thin and lightweight material is extremely break- and scratch-resistant, UV-stable, and antistatic.

EDGE PROTECT

Edge Protect is applied to the lower edges of the helmet using the inmold process—an added safety feature in the event of a side impact and protection against damage in everyday use.

RUN SYSTEM ERGO FLEX 2

Run System Ergo Flex 2 is a lightweight and comfortable adjustment system. The delicate construction fits perfectly to the head, thereby increasing protection.

3D-Fit

Adjustable in all dimensions. With the height-adjustable Run System, the helmet can be adjusted to fit the head in three dimensions.

ERGOMATIC

All Alpina helmets are equipped with the Ergomatic buckle. The twist-proof, multi-stage automatic locking mechanism can be operated with one hand.

CUSTOM FIT SYSTEM

The neck brace is adjustable in angle for a perfect fit at the back of the head.

Y-CLIP

The Y-Clip  brings the front and rear straps together under the ear. Fine adjustment is child's play.

FLY NET

The front openings are lined with a mesh fabric to protect against insect bites.

SHIELD PROTECT

The removable shield protects against splashing dirt and direct sunlight.

The Run System Ergo Flex ensures maximum comfort and safety. The adjustment system impresses with its delicate construction and fixes the helmet evenly around the head in a 360-degree circumference. A bike helmet cannot be adjusted more individually, smoothly, and comfortably. Another plus for comfort: the removable padding. It ensures that the helmet is always comfortable to wear – no matter how hot it gets on the trail. The Carapax 2.0's low weight is achieved through In-Mold manufacturing, in which the upper shell is thermally bonded to the Hi-EPS. This results in a strong surface connection, which is responsible for a very stable construction. The lower edge of the helmet is protected by the additional Edge Protect polycarbonate shell. Thanks to the Seamless Connection, it fits seamlessly onto the upper shell. For maximum safety on rough trails, the rear and temple areas are extended further down. This creates even greater head coverage.
The size of the ventilation openings allows for optimal ventilation, fly screens keep insects away from the head, and the height-adjustable visor guarantees optimal protection in the field of vision.
