SRM X-POWER DIRECT Road Bike Pedal

The SRM X-Power Direct pedal is a cast and colored aluminum pedal with a weight of 311 g per set (including cleat and screws). Its innovation lies in the extension of the pedal body to move the positive element of the cleat (and associated mechanical components) behind the direct contact point between the shoe and the pedal, resulting in a 6 mm reduction in the distance between the shoe and the pedal axle compared to existing market-leading systems (Shimano) and an increase in the contact area (1,653 mm²) between the shoe and the pedal. Due to the repositioning of the positive element, the cleat requires an additional hole in the shoe sole, which is currently found exclusively on Q36.5's Unique Pro shoes.

Q36.5 UNIQUE PRO 4.0 Road Shoe

In May 2025, Q36.5 launched its new Unique Pro shoe. While retaining the core philosophy of previous Q36.5 road shoe models (excellent ventilation, comfort, and precise fit), the shoe introduced a new element thanks to its handmade, patent-pending carbon fiber sole. The sole offers exceptional stiffness, torsional rigidity, and heel cup stability, but above all, with a thickness of 2.2 mm, it allows the rider to achieve a total stack height of 17.8 mm (average) with Shimano pedals and cleats. With the new SRM pedal, for which Q36.5 is the first brand worldwide to offer compatibility with cleats, the rider can achieve a total stack height of 11.9 mm, which represents a radical breakthrough in pedaling performance.
