Learn to belay easily! The GRIGRI + is a belay device with assisted braking for lead and top-rope climbing, both indoors and outdoors. Equipped with an anti-panic lever, it is particularly well-suited for learning how to lower the climber. It’s also the ideal partner for top-rope belaying, as the ASSIST+ mode makes it easier to take in slack. It’s designed for use with all single ropes with a diameter of 8.5 to 11 mm. • Suitable for learning how to lower the climber thanks to the anti-panic lever: If the belayer pulls too hard on the lever, the anti-panic function is triggered and rope feed is stopped
• Optimized for learning to belay in top-rope mode: ASSIST+ mode activates the cam’s locking mechanism early to facilitate rope take-up and minimize the risk of the rope running through the device if the rope is accidentally released
• Belting comfort thanks to locking support from the locking cam: During a fall or when the climber pauses, the rope tightens due to the movement of the braking hand; the locking cam rotates and engages with the rope to lock it
• The engraved markings on the belay device make it easier to thread the rope
• Same handling as with all Petzl belay devices: The rope is fed into the device, and one hand is always on the brake cord
• The locking mechanism provided by the cam allows for a wide range of hand positions on the brake rope, regardless of the angle between the rope facing the climber and the brake rope
• Compatible with all dynamic single ropes from 8.5 to 11 mm and optimized for diameters from 8.9 to 10.5 mm
