ax-lightness has leveraged its many years of experience in carbon construction (wheel building) to develop the new carbon rims of the SELECTION series. The SELECTION wheel series offers outstanding performance at a fair price-performance ratio.

If you’re looking for aero performance, the SELECTION 60CX is the right choice. The 60mm rim height transforms any wheelset into a true speed tool - ideal for triathlon, time trials, and flat races. Despite its higher profile, the wheelset is very lightweight at just 1370g, making it perfectly suitable for everyday use. The flared rim shape made of full carbon noticeably minimizes crosswind effects. The 30mm-wide rim with an internal rim width of 24mm is specifically designed for gravel, cyclocross, and extreme sprints; it also allows the tires to expand fully, thereby increasing performance and comfort compared to narrower rims. The rim width is optimized for road tires with a width of 28mm or wider. 

The wheelset is delivered tubeless ready, allowing for easy installation of tubeless-compatible tires. Of course, the wheelset can also be used with inner tubes. The glossy UD matte finish, combined with the laser-etched ax-lightness logo, completes the high-quality appearance of the wheelset.

The in-house ax-lightness disc hubs with CenterLock mounts used in the SELECTION series are top-tier; the rear hub features a sealed freewheel with a ratchet system. The in-house ax-lightness disc hubs with ratchet freewheels and Enduro bearings are designed for long-term racing use. 

The weight, including tubeless rim tape, is just 1370 grams (±5%).
