With its high volume, rubber compound, construction, and tread pattern, it always gets you and your cargo to your destination.

The Tread: With its large, interlocking center blocks, the Motion Pick-Up offers a wide contact patch. The smaller blocks on the sidewalls and in the shoulder area feature a deep diamond-cut pattern, delivering the tires’ exceptional grip even in curves, on wet surfaces, and on uneven terrain.

Fair and Resource-Conserving: Schwalbe possesses the expertise and manufacturing technology to produce bicycle tires that are exceptionally environmentally friendly—without compromising on performance. That’s why the Motion Pick-Up is made with recycled carbon black (rCB) from Schwalbe’s tire recycling program. In addition, fair-trade rubber is used here—for tires that are produced in an ecologically sound and fair manner while conserving resources.

Air Pressure: Since the total weight of your cargo bike can vary greatly (i.e., you + bike + cargo), you should check the tire pressure regularly. The Motion Pick-Up requires a minimum of 2.5 and a maximum of 4 or 4.5 bar. If necessary, you can quickly adjust the pressure with a good pump—but be sure to use a gauge! The tires’ very robust construction means that the “thumb test” isn’t very reliable.
