Made from precision-machined 4140 steel, the BBT-169 is a high-performance tool for removing and installing select components with 16-notch tool holders, including bottom brackets, Center-Lock disc brakes, and lockrings for electric bike motors. The BBT-169 is designed to be compatible with any bottom bracket featuring the corresponding tool socket. It features an extra-deep body for particularly wide axles and flat walls at the engagement point for recessed lockrings. The BBT-169 offers three tool attachment options—a 3/8" drive, a 1" hex adapter, and 36-mm wrench flats—so you can loosen even the most stubborn bottom bracket shells. For added stability, the BBT-169 features integrated threads for use with the Park Tool BBT-RS Bottom Bracket Tool Retention System or the GPS-1 guide pins (each sold separately).
Compatible with 16-notch tool holders with a major diameter (outside the notches) of 44–45 mm and a minor diameter (inside the notches) of 42.7 mm, including:
