Maurten Gel Mix 480 is a carbohydrate fuel for endurance sports based on hydrogel technology. It contains 120 grams of carbohydrates, dissolved in 200 ml of water. A new hydrogel fueling format with a texture—thicker than a “ Drink Mix, ” but more liquid than a gel—that can be customized with additions to suit personal taste. Designed for use with the Gel Mix Flask 350 ml —to be carried in a running vest, a hip belt, or a back pocket—equipped with a SpeedFill™ closure for quick refilling and a bite valve for easy consumption.

A new consistency

Gel Mix 480 gives athletes broader access to training and competition with Hydrogel Technology. A flask-based fueling system for athletes who train with purpose—the length and distance of a long session or race, the consistency of an intense training block. Because consistency is key, Gel Mix 480 offers another hydrogel format so more sessions and races can be fully fueled. The texture is thicker than the Drink Mix and more liquid than the gel. Each packet contains 120 grams of carbohydrates dissolved in 200 ml of water. Gel Mix 480 is pH-sensitive—it behaves like the Drink Mix: In the acidic environment of the stomach, it turns into a true gel. This traps the carbohydrates and transports them through the stomach, where they are absorbed. This makes fueling during sports easier.

Customizable

Gel Mix 480 contains no added flavors, preservatives, or artificial colors. To vary the texture and prevent flavor fatigue, it can be combined with Maurten Additions —Cola, Menthol, Orange, or Apple. Gel Mix 480 is designed to be used with the Gel Mix Flask 350 ml and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 72 hours.

Flask-Based Fueling System

Gel Mix 480 is designed for use with the Gel Mix Flask 350 ml. The softflask features a SpeedFill™ cap for quick refilling, a 200-ml water mark, and a bite valve for easy hydration on challenging terrain. Compatible with a running vest, hip belt, or back pocket. Other softflasks or bottles can be used with the Gel Mix 480, but they are not ideal.

Directions

Preparation: Slowly stir the content into 200 ml of water with a calcium content of less than 80 mg/l. Shake well until the powder has dissolved, and let it sit for 5 minutes before consuming.

This product should be consumed as part of a varied and balanced diet and in conjunction with a healthy lifestyle. Store and transport the product at room temperature below 30 °C.
