A four-stage surface treatment, along with precision-hardened rivets and inner links, gives KMC’s DLC chains unmatched durability and ensures an above-average service life for the entire drivetrain. Special mention should be made of the top-most diamond-like titanium carbon nitride coating, which creates an extremely smooth and exceptionally hard protective layer that reduces wear and enables outstanding shifting performance. With its precision-machined plates featuring dynamically chamfered edges, the “ Double X-Bridge ” construction also contributes to seamless gear changes and the smoothest possible operation.

The 12-speed version features reinforced rivets with a larger diameter, which are inserted using a patented technique and make the DLC chain perfectly suitable for electric bike use. The premium chain gets its finishing touch from GO WAX chain wax, which effectively improves shifting performance with its friction-reducing properties and extends the drivetrain’s service life.
