The Mavic Comete 55/65 carbon wheelset is designed for speed thanks to a unique combination of aerodynamics, lightness, and rolling efficiency. The flatter front rim ensures fast aerodynamics and precise handling. The taller rear rim enables fast rolling while maintaining low weight and direct responsiveness thanks to the Adaptive Layup carbon rim and Aero carbon spokes.
Thanks to years of wind tunnel and real-world testing with integrated sensors, Mavic engineers have taken the rim design to a new level: the Aero-Wide rim, optimized for 30 mm tires. The result: a wheel that’s significantly faster in all wind conditions, from flat stretches to steep climbs and descents.
This 55/65 combination has better aerodynamics and offers more momentum than the 45/55 combination, making it the ideal choice for anyone who spends more time on undulating terrain than on steep sections.

Ultimate Rolling Efficiency

Based on a 25 mm-wide Aero Wide rim and optimized for 30 mm-wide tires, this wheelset offers an outstanding balance of aerodynamics and rolling efficiency. Every detail has been validated through wind tunnel testing, Mavic Lab testing, and feedback from professional riders, and optimized for speed. The 21 aerodynamic carbon spokes minimize drag while increasing lateral stiffness, delivering a direct and responsive ride feel. Combined with Mavic ceramic bearings, friction is reduced to a minimum, resulting in smoother, faster rolling and a sense of effortless speed ride after ride.

Mavic’s proprietary adaptive layup structure, which combines different fibers (T700, T1000, 3K), offers an ideal balance between stiffness, handling, and riding dynamics. The aerodynamically shaped, lightweight carbon spokes transmit every watt without loss and underscore the wheel’s sporty character.
Internal tests show that the 21/21 spoke configuration (14/7 on each side) offers the best balance of stiffness, aerodynamics, and weight for precise handling and perfect tension distribution, further enhancing riding precision. Carbon spokes absorb vibrations, thereby increasing comfort, stability, and control.
