The 65mm version for disc brakes is no exception and is the fastest wheel in the lineup when it comes to riding on mostly flat routes and in windy conditions. These wheels were developed, engineered, and patented by Mavic in Annecy, France. They are 100% handcrafted at Mavic’s European carbon factory.

Details of the Mavic Cosmic SLR 65 Disc carbon

The carbon laminate, combined with exclusive Fore Carbon technology, leaves the upper rim bridge intact and reinforces the rim only where necessary, resulting in a weight savings of 30 g per rim. The spokes are attached to the rim without having to drill into the upper rim bed, eliminating the need for rim tape. This means even more weight savings and less hassle when it comes to mounting or repairing tubeless tires.

The shape of the rim bed makes mounting and removing tires easier than ever before. UST tubeless means no inner tube, so no friction and more air volume for a smoother ride with less rolling resistance

The patented elliptical spokes save an additional 5 watts. The Infinity hub platform optimizes spoke lacing for efficient power transfer through highly controlled spoke tension. Automatic bearing preload adjustment (QRM Auto) ensures additional durability.
