By limiting all movement to the horizontal axis, this design is faster, reduces shift force and eliminates ghost shifting. Thanks to ROLLER BEARING CLUTCH™ featuring a revised cage pin the SRAM X01 TYPE 2.1 derailleur eliminates more effectively bounce and chain slap without sacrificing precision. CAGE LOCK™ technology makes wheel removal and installation easier than ever before. Paired with the X01 shifter, the X-HORIZON RD forms the backbone of X-ACTUATION™ technology for unbelievably smooth shifting action.

A part of the rear derailleur is covered with a green protective foil, which can be removed easily.
